Botswana
In February 2025, heavy rains caused widespread flooding across several areas of Gaborone, displacing many families and leaving them in urgent need of assistance. In a swift and compassionate response, the SSSIO of Botswana, in collaboration with the Indian High Commission, organized a relief drive. SSSIO volunteers and others distributed food, clothing, and essential items to affected families. In May 2025, in partnership with the Botswana National Blood Transfusion Service, a blood donation camp was held, during which 40 units of blood were collected.
Ghana
On February 17, 2025, SSSIO volunteers visited the Otoase Orphanage, distributing clothing and books and serving meals to 75 children, with love and joy. On April 21, 60 patients received clothing, books, and nourishing meals at the Nsawam Orthopaedic Center.
On June 14, the SSSIO served 450 patients at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital, distributing clothing and meals in a gesture of dignity and compassion toward some of society's most overlooked individuals.
The Ladies Wing made regular visits to hospitals throughout 2025, serving breakfast to patients in cooperation with the nursing staff who welcomed the volunteers warmly. This ongoing initiative continues to bring comfort and joy to those undergoing treatment.
The Sathya Sai School in Ghana is undergoing significant infrastructure development, with five additional classrooms under construction. The expansion will allow more students to receive education in an environment where academic excellence and human values go hand in hand.
Madagascar
In January 2025, the Ladies Forum lovingly prepared and distributed meals to elderly residents and school children, bringing warmth and nourishment to many. On February 23, 2025, 1,000 trees were planted, contributing to the ongoing effort to protect and restore Madagascar's natural environment.
From April 21–25, 2025, the SSSIO of Madagascar conducted a five-day medical camp that served 6,633 patients. This was made possible by the dedicated service of 185 international and local doctors, volunteers, and support staff. The camp offered free care across 14 specialties, including general medicine, cardiology, pediatrics, gynecology, surgery, emergency care, dentistry, physiotherapy and pain management, eye care, nursing, pharmacy, and laboratory services. This camp stands as one of the most significant medical outreach efforts undertaken by the SSSIO anywhere in the world.
On April 19, Dr. Ramadevi Sankaran, Co-Chair of the International Medical Committee, conducted a workshop on responsible eating and self-awareness for parents, children, and teachers. A total of 151 students, 162 parents, and 7 teachers benefited from the session, which encouraged mindful and healthy living grounded in the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
On April 24, blankets were distributed to the residents of an old-age home, offering warmth and comfort. The Sathya Sai School continued its commitment to the children's well-being through regular medical check-ups, and anti-worming and anti-lice treatments throughout the year. On October 24, a recycling workshop was held with school children, raising environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility toward Mother Nature.
Mauritius
On March 12, 2025, Mauritius celebrated 57 years of independence. Children from the Sathya Sai Society for the Welfare of the Disabled joined community members in a march, waving the national flag as a symbol of unity. A prize award ceremony was held to honor the children's participation, and a drawing competition provided a platform for creative expression, with each child celebrated for their unique achievement.
In June 2025, a Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) Quiz Competition was conducted in Tyack, bringing together 65 adults, 18 youth, and 27 children. Nine teams participated in a spirited and uplifting contest centered on stotras, mantras, bhajans, and the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The event deepened participants' connection to Swami while nurturing a spirit of learning.
The SSSIO of Mauritius organized three blood donation drives in 2025 in partnership with the National Blood Transfusion Service, collectively gathering 404 pints of blood. On May 25, 146 pints were donated at a national camp. In July, the Tyack blood drive collected 95 pints, supported by 150 dedicated volunteers. In August, 100 pints were donated at the Ganga Talao camp, with 149 volunteers contributing to the effort. On September 14, a combined Blood Donation and Cancer Screening camp was conducted, where 25 women received cervical and breast cancer screenings, and 63 pints of blood were collected.
From November 1–2, 2025, 200 devotees gathered for a 24-hour Veda chanting, filling the atmosphere with the sacred vibrations as a continuous offering to Bhagawan. On November 19, a Ladies Day Celebration brought together 195 devotees for Veda chanting and bhajans. In addition, inspiring experiences were shared by past leaders of the SSSIO.
On November 23, 2025, the SSSIO of Mauritius joyfully celebrated the 100th year of the advent of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The program commenced with suprabhatam, followed by a narrative account of Bhagawan's life and a moving musical offering by the Young Adults. Three hundred devotees gathered in love and gratitude to honor their beloved Lord on this historic and sacred occasion.
On November 30, a service was conducted across three villages, with 40 packs of non-perishable food items distributed to impoverished families.
South Africa
In 2025, the Mother and Child Project was rolled out across two communities in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, bringing integrated medical care, education, and environmental services to mothers and children in areas that lacked accessible healthcare. The first camp was held on June 8, 2025, in the Shakaskraal community. The camp served 36 mothers and 53 children, offering eye screening, pediatric care, dental care, and social services. The African Institute of Sri Sathya Sai Education (AISSSE) conducted an enriching parenting workshop along with a bead-making workshop for mothers, nurturing both practical skills and inner values. The Go Green Team planted a variety of trees, including Spekboom, Mango, Lemon, Avocado, and Pawpaw.
The second camp was held on August 9, 2025, at the Newcastle Sathya Sai School, serving 99 mothers and 107 children. SSSIO South Africa partnered with the African Eye Institute, which conducted vision screening tests and dispensed spectacles to 53 children and 9 educators. The medical team provided further examinations for children with severe eye conditions and issued referral letters for specialist care at the nearest hospital. Dental examinations were carried out, and a dental hygiene talk was delivered to children and parents. Members of AISSSE facilitated a parenting workshop and interactive activities, giving children the opportunity to showcase their potential through songs and drumming.
The Umkomaas Region Sathya Sai Kitchen lovingly prepared and served meals to over 250 attendees. Hampers and hygiene packs were distributed to all 99 mothers and 107 children, and the Go Green team planted a variety of succulents and created a beautiful garden patch as a reminder of the sanctity of nature.
The Forderville Clinic continued to serve the community throughout 2025. Between February and November, 372 patients benefited from a range of health screenings and tests, including BMI, blood pressure, and sugar testing, breast examinations, cervical cancer screenings, blood tests, and counseling sessions.
Volunteers in the Phoenix area conducted blood donation clinics in January, April, July, September, and November 2025. Through their dedicated efforts, a total of 168 pints of blood were donated to the South African National Blood Service (SANBS).
Throughout 2025, SSSIO members in South Africa organized numerous food service and community care initiatives across the country. In April, the Sai Ananda Center served 100 meals to underprivileged individuals at the El Gibbor Soup Kitchen. In July, the same center distributed 103 meals and fresh vegetables to residents of the Cheshire Adult and Children's Homes. In October, the Palmview Sai Center served hot meals to the community of Riet River. The Sai Kitchen in Umkomaas lovingly prepared and distributed 4,200 meals to those in need.
During November, meals were distributed to various communities across South Africa. The Prema Dhaara Center distributed 1,000 meals in Tembisa to a children's home and feeding center, while the Sai Ananda Center served 268 meals to the Dennis Hurley center. In addition, 100 loaves of bread were distributed in the Umkomaas community.
The Ladies Wing in Gauteng organized a Touch Therapy and Wellness Day for 100 disadvantaged women from the Laudium community. The program comprised touch therapy sessions, chair yoga, basic health screenings, and motivational talks. The day concluded with the distribution of meals and care packs, leaving participants uplifted and inspired.
On November 30, 2025, 15 devotees from Umkomaas, KwaZulu-Natal, visited the residents of the Esperanza Old Age Home to offer loving services. The Ladies Wing distributed hampers, hygiene bags, bread, milk, and butter to the residents. A heartfelt program of bhajans and gospel songs brought joy and warmth to all, reminding everyone of divinity and the unity of all faiths.
Tanzania
Through its Community Adoption program, the SSSIO regularly distributed 5 kg maize flour bags and beans to underprivileged families in the Kawe and Mbagala districts of Dar es Salaam. A second community adoption initiative focused on the construction of ablution facilities in government schools, benefiting over 3,000 students and restoring dignity and hygienic practices. The country project at Usangi Primary School in the Kilimanjaro region stands as a shining example of the commitment of the SSSIO.
In collaboration with the Sokoine University of Agriculture in Morogoro, the SSSIO sourced fruit and shade trees for planting at schools, with students taking ownership of the saplings by watering and tending to them daily, cultivating both trees and the values of responsibility and love for nature.
On July 26, 2025, alongside its regular monthly medical camp, the SSSIO of Tanzania launched a pilot Mother and Child Program in Tandale, Dar es Salaam, under the stewardship of Dr. Ramadevi Sankaran, Co-Chair of the SSSIO Medical Committee; Dr. Sunil Kadiyala, Medical Director of Zone 9; Dr. Mbega; and Dr. Chetan. The program was designed to strengthen healthcare delivery for mothers, newborns, and children under five at the grassroots level. Services included counseling, dietary guidance, breastfeeding support, vaccinations, and practical education on managing childhood health issues such as fever, convulsions, and sleep patterns empowering families with useful knowledge.
SSSIO's digital education program continues to make a meaningful impact, with over 13 government schools now equipped with 10 computers and a wall-mounted projector in each school. Computer literacy classes and digital learning programs, introduced in 2022, are ongoing.
Uganda
In Uganda, love in action finds one of its most consistent and beautiful expressions in the service conducted every third Sunday near the Sai Center. Devotees and youth come together to cook and serve nourishing meals to approximately 250 children from the surrounding community — an unbroken chain of selfless service that continues month after month, season after season, embodying Swami's message that the best form of worship is service to humanity.
Zimbabwe
On July 5, hot meals, blankets, and clothing were distributed to 25 children and 25 adults at the Smile Again Organization, Chabwino Farm, Shamva, bringing warmth and comfort during the cold winter months. On July 20, blankets and necessities were distributed to 25 children at the Restoration Foster Home in Mufakose.
In November, 100 fruit trees were planted at orphanages and children's homes across Zimbabwe as a tribute to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's 100th Birthday, symbolizing the growth, nourishment, and hope that His teachings continue to inspire. On November 23, hot meals, stationery, and five trees were provided at the Lord Malvin Orphan Care center for homeless and street children, nurturing both body and spirit, and planting the seeds of a better future.
As an offering of love and devotion for Swami's 100th Birthday celebrations, 100 havans (sacred offerings) were conducted across the country, filling the atmosphere with sacred vibrations and prayerful gratitude.
In December, SSE children brought the joy of the festive season to the children of Safe Hands Day Care center in Kambuzuma, organizing a Christmas party, complete with meals and gifts.
