Celebrating 100 Years of Love, Service, and Human Values

The SSSIO Zone 4 International Conference was held from September 5–7, 2025, at the Ideal Convention Center in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The event brought together more than 800 devotees, including 250 delegates from other countries, to mark the 100th year of the advent of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Over three days, the conference wove together keynote addresses, workshops, panel discussions, and cultural performances from across Zone 4’s Southeast Asian countries, reaffirming Swami’s teachings on love, service, and human values.
Dr. Narendranath Reddy, Chairman of SSSIO, opened the conference with the keynote address, emphasizing gratitude and reminding devotees to make service, love, and human values the foundation of daily life. Also present were Mr. Leonardo Gutter, Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation; Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh, Chairman of SSSIO Zone 4; Dr. Suresh Govind, Member of the Prasanthi Council; and Mr. V. Sugumaran, National Council President of SSSIO Malaysia.
Day one opened with Veda chanting, a Paduka procession, and the lighting of the lamp, followed by a dance performed by more than 100 youth and children to a specially composed theme song. Fifteen devotees received the Sathya Sai Lifetime Award for their service to the organization and society. That evening, Mr. Gutter reflected on 'Living with Swami', describing the rarity of being called to serve as His instrument, while a discussion between Dr. Govind and Dr. Reddy on aligning head, heart, and hand left many delegates energized.
Day two turned to strategic planning. Presentations on the SAI 100 Community Adoption program and the expansion of Sai Spiritual Education highlighted the adoption of 159 communities across Zone 4 and new SSE offerings in Thailand. Breakout workshops for the Spiritual, Education, Service, and Young Adults wings explored initiatives such as mangrove planting, grocery and book voucher distribution, and service at senior citizens’ homes. That evening, 88 children graduated in the SSE Convocation Ceremony alongside 11 meditation trainers and 37 teachers. An International Cultural Program welcomed more than 40 leaders from Muslim, Christian, and other faith communities, including the Archbishop of Malaysia and leaders of Muslim nongovernmental organizations who praised decades of collaboration with the SSSIO.
The final day opened with Gayatri chanting, meditation, and the '10-Fingers Gratitude Practice', followed by the introduction of the E.A.S.E. program, a formula for healthy living: Exercise regularly, maintain a positive Attitude, Sleep deeply, and Eat responsibly. A question-and-answer session with Dr. Reddy, Mr. Gutter, and Dr. Sunder Iyer gave delegates a chance to draw on their collective wisdom. Mr. Billy Fong, Central Coordinator of Zone 4, presented a summary of SSSIO activities before Dr. Reddy delivered the valedictory address. Each delegate received a token of Swami’s Paduka as a pledge to carry the conference’s vision home. Dr. Govind offered a fitting challenge for the road ahead: “We need to think zonal and act local.”
The Zone 4 conference honored a century of Bhagawan’s legacy while charting a clear course for the future, leaving delegates renewed in their commitment to Swami’s mission.

A Mission of Selfless Love
July 11–13, 2025, Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas
The first National Conference and Children’s Festival of the SSSIO USA, themed 'Sri Sathya Sai: A Mission of Selfless Love,' was held July 11–13, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency near Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. It attracted more than 700 attendees supported by more than 100 volunteers.
The inaugural session opened with a flag ceremony honoring all 50 states served by the SSSIO of USA, followed by the national anthem led by Young Adults. Dr. Narendranath Reddy, Chairman of SSSIO, and Dr. Phil Gosselin, Chairman of Zone 1, lit the ceremonial lamp before Mr. Harish Naidu, National Council President of SSSIO-USA, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Reddy’s keynote highlighted Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s central teachings. Community leaders, including mayors and heads of national nonprofit organizations, shared reflections on service and unity and a proclamation honoring Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s mission was presented by a mayor.
An exhibition on the theme 'Mission of Selfless Love' drew more than 400 attendees, showcasing service initiatives from all ten regions of SSSIO–USA in Sociocare, Healthcare, Educare, Envirocare, and Young Adult projects, with a digital passport encouraging visits to every booth.
The Path of Unity session featured Ms. Sonal Shah, chief executive officer of the Texas Tribune, speaking on inner unity of thought, word, and deed, along with an interfaith panel and a Young Adult play on friendship, kindness, appreciation, and equanimity. The 'Mission of Selfless Service' session opened with a video on service projects nationwide, followed by personal accounts of service, and six workshops.
The 'Manifestation of Universal Human Values' workshop explored the three H’s, Head, Heart, and Hands, showing how clear thought, pure feeling, and right conduct restore the values of peace, nonviolence, and love. On the final day, the 'Realization of Oneness' session featured a debate on individual versus group spiritual practice and a talk by Dr. Suresh Govind, member of the Prasanthi Council, on self-transformation and the unity of all creation, followed by a Young Adult workshop titled 'A Self-Transformation Toolkit'.
Young Adults were woven into every session, presenting the play 'All Aboard', the story of a bus driver and three strangers who rediscover that compassion is the compass leading them back to themselves, brought to life entirely through their own acting, direction, and stagecraft.
Held concurrently, the Education Wing’s first Children’s Festival, 'Messengers of Love and Light', welcomed more than 120 SSE children and 150 volunteer teachers into an enchanted forest of sessions on friendship, service, and unity. Across three days, children sculpted clay reflections on Swami’s quotes, crafted a communal tree of leaf messages, journeyed through the story of Premlok in search of pure love, and assembled 100 backpacks of school supplies for children in need. The festival closed with devotional singing, capping three days that deepened the children’s understanding of Swami’s teachings.
The conference closed with a summary by Dr. Jack Feely, Central Coordinator, SSSIO-USA, and words of gratitude from Mr. Alex Grana, Vice President, SSSIO–USA, amid an overwhelming request from attendees that the National Conference be held every year, or every other year, in gratitude to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba for all His blessings.
