Canada
The year 2025 marked a deeply significant chapter for the SSSIO of Canada. Guided by the divine message of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and inspired by His 100th Birth Anniversary, devotees across the country came together in unity, service, and devotion. In February 2025, SSSIO members across Canada organized a series of service-oriented events to encourage devotion, unity, and community engagement.
In the spirit of interfaith harmony, SSSIO Canada, in collaboration with Chinmaya Mission Toronto, organized a World Interfaith Harmony Week event on February 8, 2025, themed 'Faiths Together: Strengthening Love, Peace, and Community Bonds'. Through prayers, reflections, an interfaith panel discussion, and small group dialogues, participants from diverse traditions explored shared human values of love, compassion, service, and forgiveness.
On February 16, 2025, SSSIO volunteers, including SSE children, created moments of happiness and connection through music, games, and heartfelt interactions for the elderly residents of a home over the Family Day weekend. Their efforts reflected the purity of intention and the natural expression of love through service, leaving a profound impression on all involved.
In Saskatoon, volunteers partnered with Bridge City Warmth to distribute clothing, blankets, and food to the unhoused on February 22, 2025. In recognition of Heart Month, CPR certification training was organized to equip community members with life-saving skills.
Devotees from centers around Toronto celebrated Maha Shivaratri in February 2025 with bhajans and abhishekam rituals, creating a profound sense of peace and collective worship. Similar devotional fervor marked the celebrations at the Calgary Sai Center. The Agincourt Sai center later hosted the Sai 100 Gayatri Chanting, where collective recitation of the Gayatri mantra brought unity, serenity, and spiritual upliftment.
On April 24, Toronto’s famous CN Tower was illuminated in red and blue for Human Values Day, promoting truth, right conduct, peace, love, and nonviolence. This year, the CN Tower’s red and blue lighting was chosen to represent harmony and the shared responsibility of building a more inclusive and compassionate world. As one of Canada’s most recognizable landmarks, the CN Tower’s participation underscores the importance of integrating human values into education, leadership, and community initiatives.
Environmental stewardship was honored on April 26, 2025, when Sai devotees from Pickering and Durham planted 60 trees in celebration of Bhagawan Baba’s 100th Birthday, symbolizing unity, perseverance, and love for nature. Families, youth, and elders worked together with love and enthusiasm, transforming a cold, windy day into a powerful expression of unity and service.
Jamaica
In April 2025, the SSSIO of Montego Bay, Jamaica, began offering biweekly Sathya Sai Education in Human Values (SSEHV) sessions at the SOS Children’s Home. The program serves 10–15 children between the ages of 5 and 17 and is supported by three SSSIO members, along with two additional volunteers who lovingly dedicate their time to facilitate the classes. Each session concludes with a small treat for the children, as a gesture of love and encouragement.
Suriname
On March 9, 2025, the SSSIO of Suriname participated in the Holi Milan public outreach event in collaboration with various NGOs under the theme 'Spirituality and a Healthy Lifestyle'. With over 700 attendees, the event highlighted vegetarian foods, health, nutrition, mental wellness, spirituality, and service. Three Young Adults and five adults shared Swami’s universal message, emphasizing the deeper values of Holi and the principles of love, unity, and service. An interactive booth shared Swami’s teachings through books, banners, and spiritual material. Food was also served to elderly home residents. Cultural performances, devotional music, discussions on vegetarian food, and the distribution of wheelchairs further reinforced the five human values.
Throughout the year, the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Sonjastraat implemented several inspiring service projects. During Guru Poornima in July 2025, volunteers distributed food hampers with essential household items to 35 families in Commewijne and Magenta, using eco-friendly Go Green bags. In September 2025, in preparation for Avatar Declaration Day, the Center conducted its annual Everyone a Messenger of Sai project, providing school packages to 39 children, essential supplies to a local school, and food hampers to families in need.
On September 15, 2025, a Center member celebrated her birthday by distributing 10 food hampers to less fortunate families in her neighborhood. The gratitude and joy of the recipients deeply touched her, allowing her to experience Baba’s love through selfless giving.
Trinidad and Tobago
On February 29, 2025, the Sathya Sai Preschool and Primary School in Longdenville celebrated a Carnival with 120 participants, including parents, students, teachers, and Sai devotees. Centered on the theme 'Human Values and the Environment', each class showcased lively Carnival bands, and the students performed themed calypsos. The parent support group sold healthy food to raise funds for school supplies. The event was filled with colorful costumes, joyful music, and a spirit of love.
On June 19, 2025, about 30 SSSIO members gathered at Eco Park at dawn, beginning the day with Omkar, Suprabhatam, and Nagara Sankirtan. After breakfast, they were joined by three others and planted 10 ornamental, shade, and fruit trees around the park. A simple lunch was shared, and later that day, the volunteers planted an additional 39 trees at their homes, putting into action Swami’s message of love for nature.
On June 27, 2025, the Sathya Sai Primary School joyfully celebrated the graduation of 15 class-five students, marking the completion of five formative years and their transition to secondary school. The ceremony was held in the presence of nearly 60 parents, teachers, well-wishers, and members of the Education Board of Management. Inspiring addresses by the Principal, Board Chairman, Valedictorian, and guest speaker uplifted the occasion, followed by the presentation of certificates and awards. The students enriched the celebration with song and dance offerings and expressed gratitude through thoughtful gifts to their Principal and class teacher.
Every Thursday, devotees from over 11 Sai Centers unite in joyful teamwork, preparing and distributing 350 hot meals to adopted communities, including the blind, the homeless, the differently abled, and street dwellers. With over 47,000 meals shared so far, each day of service is filled with devotion, cooperation, and heartfelt offering. The spirit of the Sai Kitchen has inspired many, transforming the Center into a classroom where selfless service is the greatest lesson. It has also grown into a hub, supporting national initiatives that uplift and unite communities. Looking ahead, the vision is to go beyond feeding the body, to touch hearts and awaken hope, sharing Baba’s message of love and service.
On May 8, 2025, the Sai Institute of Education, West Indies, conducted an inspiring EASE Workshop at SWAHA Hindu College, Trinidad, bringing together 45 participants, including the Principal, teachers, and administrative staff. The 80-minute session was dynamic, interactive, and deeply relevant, addressing real challenges faced by educators today. The workshop was warmly received, with participants engaging enthusiastically and expressing appreciation for its practical insights and thoughtful delivery. Reflecting on the impact of the session, the Principal, Pt. Ishwar Madho Maharaj, conveyed heartfelt gratitude, noting the relevance of the content and the satisfaction of the staff.
To commemorate Easwaramma Day, the SSSIO of Trinidad and Tobago (SSSIOTT), in collaboration with Sathya Sai schools, organized a Walk for Values on May 10, 2025. Approximately 150 devotees and 200 members of the public participated in this Walk, spreading human values in the community. The theme of the event was 'Celebrating 100 Years of Love, Service, and Human Values', dedicated to 100 years of the advent of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Beautifully crafted posters by the children of the Longdenville Sathya Sai Primary School and ECCE centers wonderfully communicated the message of hope for a nation in need of peace. Members of Parliament who were present at the Walk made brief remarks about the positive impact of the annual event on the Longdenville community. The best posters depicting the theme of the Walk were awarded special prizes.
On October 31, 2025, the SSSIO of Trinidad and Tobago (SSSIOTT) conducted a professional development workshop for Sathya Sai educators titled 'Orientation and Reorientation in Sathya Sai Education in Human Values (SSEHV)'. Twenty teachers and administrators from five Sathya Sai Schools in Trinidad attended. The workshop, which included a session on Early Adolescent Skills for Emotions, was highly interactive and received very positive feedback.
USA
Exemplifying the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Sai Center of Norwood, Massachusetts, has been a steadfast supporter of the Father Bill’s & Main Spring (FBMS) Shelter’s bagged lunch program for over 20 years. Every two weeks, dedicated center members, including enthusiastic students of Sai Spiritual Education (SSE), gather to prepare 100 wholesome sandwich meals for those in need. The SSE children play an active role, from packing sandwiches, counting meals, and helping load the boxes into cars for transport to the Brockton Shelter, supporting FBMS’s mission to address homelessness and provide essential nutrition.
In Seattle Eastside, Sai volunteers partnered with Volunteers of America, Western Washington, to assist Ukrainian refugees. Beginning with resume-building workshops held in September 2024 for 30 participants, the initiative expanded in February 2025 to include conversational English tutoring to help refugees build confidence and move toward self-reliance.
The Sri Sathya Sai Center of Fairfax, Virginia, broadened its winter service by assembling up to 150 Welcome Kits on January 26, 2025, for new residents of affordable housing at Allium Place in Silver Spring, Maryland. These kits included essential household supplies such as cleaning products, toilet paper, paper towels, a toilet plunger, and shower curtains. SSE children added handwritten welcoming notes. The partnership was warmly appreciated for its spirit of collaboration and genuine care. In a thank-you letter from Affordable Homes and Communities (AHC), a nonprofit organization, a volunteer expressed gratitude, stating, “I was truly blown away by the Sai Center’s efficiency, generosity, spirit of collaboration, dedication to service, and overall genuine community bond. I was especially impressed with the kids’ ability to jump in and help. It is evident how authentic the Sathya Sai Center’s mission towards social justice is.”
The Sri Sathya Sai Center of Central San Jose, California, hosted a heartwarming Seniors and Grandparents Day event on April 13, 2025, honoring elders’ wisdom and their contributions. The event featured devotional singing, games, and shared stories, along with a lovingly prepared lunch. It fostered meaningful inter-generational bonds, spiritual growth, and unity, highlighting the shared path of self-transformation and love for Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Promoting interfaith harmony, the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Dallas hosted an Iftar dinner on March 15, 2025, bringing together 100 participants from diverse faiths, including guests from the Dialogue Institute Dallas and the Mayor of Plano, Texas. The evening emphasized unity of faith, shared values, community service, and strengthening bonds across traditions. Continuing this spirit of collaboration, the Young Adults from the Dallas Sai Center were later invited to another Ramadan event hosted by the Dialogue Institute, paving the way for new friendships and future collaboration.
SSE Group 4 students (ages 15 and older) from the SSSIO-USA North-Central Region launched a Sai 100 Blessed Blankets Project in March 2024, with the target of making and donating 100 cozy blankets for children in pediatric hospitals and shelters. Supported by every Sai Center in the region, fleece fabric was transformed into soft, warm blankets, layered, cut, and tied together. Sessions echoed with bhajans, laughter, and shared purpose, as Sai devotees of all ages joined in. The volunteers quickly exceeded their goal of making 100 blankets, delivering comfort to even more children, including those in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital, Chicago, on February 6, 2025, where the staff received them with tearful gratitude. On September 8, 2025, volunteers delivered additional fleece blankets to the Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.
In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, SSSIO volunteers continued over a decade of monthly service with Global Links, a nonprofit organization that ships surplus medical supplies from U.S. hospitals to developing countries, sorting and packing them for distribution.
Environmental stewardship and hunger relief were central themes of service nationwide. In Seattle, led by the Lake Washington Center, 12 volunteers on March 23, 2025, rescued 3,000 fragile maple seedlings for future planting.
In Orlando, 17 volunteers joined the MLK (Martin Luther King) Day Million Meals Pack on January 20, 2025, and helped surpass the goal by preparing over 1,013,580 meals for needy families in Central Florida. Inspired by the experience, one volunteer pledged to distribute 100 food packages in honor of Swami’s 100th Birthday.
In Atlanta and Massachusetts, SSSIO volunteers harvested and prepared fresh produce for food banks.
The Sri Sathya Sai Center of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, hosted a free Health and Wellness Fair on April 27, 2025, serving over 60 individuals experiencing homelessness. In collaboration with local health organizations, volunteers and medical professionals provided comprehensive screenings and consultations, along with lunch, addressing a critical community need with dignity and compassion.
Volunteers from the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, supported expectant parents at a Community Baby Shower on July 19, 2025, through its W.A.T.C.H. Parenting Initiative, distributing essential baby items and values-based children’s books.
Devotional creativity marked the centennial year in Detroit, Michigan, where the SSE wing created an extensive Sai Life Exhibit on July 10, 2025, for the Guru Poornima celebrations, depicting milestones in Swami’s life.
Meanwhile, the St. Louis Sai Center in Missouri strengthened interfaith relationships through festivals, dialogues, conferences, and community events, building enduring bridges of understanding. The local SSE children regularly engage the community through field trips to various faith venues.
