Birthday Celebrations 2026
The momentous Centenary Celebrations of our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba last year united all of us in His name to sing His glories and serve in His divine mission. Continuing His work in that same spirit, the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO) will celebrate Ladies Day on November 19, followed by a three-day Sadhana Camp from November 20 to 22, culminating in Bhagawan’s Birthday Celebration on November 23, 2026.
These five days are dedicated entirely to Sadhana: the living practice of Swami’s Nine-Point Code of Conduct. The SSSIO lovingly invites you to register for this golden opportunity to join Ladies Day, the Sadhana Camp and the Birthday Celebrations of our beloved Bhagawan. The theme of the Sadhana Camp is Love for God (Daiva Preeti), Fear of Sin (Paapa Bheeti), and Morality in Society (Morality in Society).
What Is a Sadhana Camp?
Sadhana means spiritual practice: the steady, daily effort to turn our understanding into the way we live. A Sadhana Camp sets aside a few days to do exactly that, together. Rather than a conference we attend and listen to, it is a retreat we take part in. Each day is shaped around the disciplines Swami gave us: prayer and meditation, group devotional singing, study of His teachings, loving speech, selfless service and Ceiling on Desires.
Practicing these side by side, in an atmosphere of silence, devotion and fellowship, helps us carry them home as lasting habits, and turns the journey inward toward knowing our true Self.
Why Swami Held Them in the Early Days?
From the earliest years of His mission, Swami made clear that spiritual knowledge bears fruit only when it is practiced. As devotees gathered around Him and the Sathya Sai Organization took shape, He brought them together for camps, retreats and courses where they lived a disciplined spiritual routine under His direct guidance, rather than simply hearing discourses.
Swami placed the Nine-Point Code of Conduct at the very heart of the Organization’s charter, so that every member would be an instrument of His mission through personal transformation. Sadhana Camps were a way to train devotees, office bearers and young people in that discipline, so that they would return to their homes and centers as living examples of His teachings. This camp continues with that tradition.
Love, adore, serve the Sarveshwara (Almighty Lord) who is resident in all mankind; through that Love, adoration and service, realise Him. That is the highest sadhana.
