The Ocean of Music (OoM) Sai Young Adults (YA) international subcommittee encourages YAs around the world to participate and contribute to a repository of original and uplifting devotional as well as Human Values based musical compositions and offerings.

Devotional music plays an integral role in the lives of YAs globally, who are passionate about music and feel the presence of Sathya Sai Baba in their hearts. It is their love and devotion for Sathya Sai Baba that is expressed in their compositions.

Similarly, embracing the five universal Human Values i.e. Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Love and Non-violence in our daily lives is imperative in our spiritual journey. Hence, we encourage YAs from around the globe to submit original musical compositions and to create other forms of art to inculcate and celebrate these values.

OoM provides a creative outlet for global YAs to express and share their musical talent with an aim to ignite the flame of unity in diversity around the world through these beautiful and melodious musical renditions.

All is One, One with Sai

Celebrating 95 years of Selfless Love!

On the momentous and auspicious occasion of Sathya Sai Baba’s 95th birthday, the International Young Adults Ocean of Music (OoM) subcommittee, is pleased to announce a global musical offering: All is One, One with Sai – celebrating 95 years of Selfless Love

This initiative, led by the International Young Adults Ocean of Music (OoM) subcommittee, follows on from the International Young Adults music offering on Sathya Sai Baba’s 90th Birthday, wherein Young Adults from 50 countries came together to offer their love in the form of a unique and magnificent musical tribute sung in 37 languages and regional dialects spreading Sathya Sai Baba’s love to every corner of the globe. For reference, this compilation can be found here:

In commemoration of Sathya Sai Baba’s 95th Birthday, we plan to expand the scope and offer a beautiful garland of devotional and human-values based songs from 95 countries.

Sathya Sai Baba has said, “Wherever My glory is sung, there I shall install Myself.” The glory of Sai is being sung all over the world in many languages such as English, Mandarin, Spanish, Hindi, and Russian amongst others, which is a testament that His love truly knows no boundaries. Therefore, this offering is open to all devotees and will include a compilation of songs/bhajans in different languages which will be offered to our dearest Sathya Sai Baba in Prasanthi Nilayam during His 95th birthday celebrations in November 2020. The tribute will thereafter be made available online on, together with the lyrics and meanings, so that they can be enjoyed by devotees all over the world.

The submission can be either be a preexisting high-quality live recording, or can be recorded specifically for the purpose of this offering. All recordings will be screened for musical and technical quality prior to being included in the compilation. Tentatively, the number of submissions included in the final compilation will be capped at five per country.

The final date for submission is Friday, 10th September 2020.

Please email if you have any questions.

Submit songs: Submit Songs For All is One, One with Sai Musical Offering

Submission Requirements

All recordings will be screened for musical and technical quality prior to being included in the compilation. Tentatively, the number of submissions included in the final compilation will be capped at five per country.

Submissions from devotees of all ages will be accepted and must adhere to the following:

  • Bhajans/Value-based songs are encouraged to be sung in local languages and should of a reasonably short length; no longer than 6 mins
  • Bhajans should be sung in the same format as in Prasanthi Nilayam, (in two speeds, then finishing with the first line sung slowly). It is preferable that bhajans are sung in a simple way, as they are normally sung in your Sathya Sai Centre. Avoid introductory instrumental music or complicated musical arrangements.
  • Singing should be clear, so that words are easily understood. We kindly ask that the music quality is the best we can possibly offer - please allow the best singers and the musicians to lead and avoid mistakes of any kind in the bhajans/songs.
  • Recordings must be in the best possible quality. Recordings from smartphones or any portable device will be accepted as long as they are of a high quality.
  • Original compositions (encouraged, but not mandatory). Non-original compositions must be free of any copyright restrictions, and will otherwise not be accepted. Please avoid bhajans which are widely known and often sang in Prasanthi Nilayam.
  • Lyrics of all the bhajans/songs in the original language and an English translation must be submitted.
  • Devotees are encouraged to send short, good quality video clips of the recording process, good quality photographs of the musicians who took part. rehearsals, birthday wishes etc.

All submissions will be screened against the above criteria for musical and recording quality prior to inclusion in the compilation. The Ocean of Music subcommittee will make the final choice of bhajans/songs.

Technical Requirements

We will accept songs recorded in two formats:

  1. A studio-type recording done specifically for submission to this offering
  2. A recording a live Bhajan Session/Music program

For both types of recordings, a well-mixed direct line recording from a sound system is preferred. This would entail obtaining a recording directly from your audio system through an audio interface connected to a computer, or an audio recorder device that can connect to your audio system.

We do, however understand that such resources may not be available in all areas. We will also accept high-quality smartphone audio recordings. A few tips on how this method of recording should be done effectively:

  1. The phone should be placed on a hard, flat surface, without any obstruction to the microphone on your phone (usually on the bottom of the screen). Placing the phone on a soft surface, such as a carpet may muffle the sound input.
  2. The phone’s microphone should be pointed towards the loudspeaker, and placed within 2-3 feet away from the speaker. This will, to the best extent possible, replicate the sound of a direct line recording.

All submissions will be screened against the above criteria for musical and recording quality prior to inclusion in the compilation. The Ocean of Music subcommittee will make the final choice of bhajans/songs.

Requerimientos Técnicos

Aceptaremos canciones grabadas en dos formatos:
