Indonesia

Between January 20-21, 2024, the Sai Study Group Lampung distributed 41 wheelchairs to financially disadvantaged, disabled individuals and delivered 20 directly to recipients' homes. Supported by the Sai Study Group Bandung and SSSIO volunteers, the initiative includes monthly visits to monitor wheelchair conditions and provide essential supplies such as groceries, medications, and diapers.

Sai Rescue, SSSIO Indonesia’s dedicated committee for humanitarian relief, has collaborated on several occasions with local governments to provide education on disaster relief operations. The committee provided humanitarian aid during natural calamities and helped with search and rescue operations for missing persons in the mountains or at sea. As part of its efforts, Sai Rescue conducted a water rescue technical training in Bali from July 8-14, 2024. Dozens of participants attended the training to learn the essential first steps in rescuing victims in water-related emergencies.

Malaysia

On April 27, 2024, the Chess Club of Sekolah Rendah Sathya Sai and its Parent-Teacher Association organized a chess tournament to promote the game and encourage friendly competition. The event began with prayers led by the Chess Club coordinator, and 34 students participated in 6 rounds of matches. SSE students excelled in the competition, winning 12 out of 19 prizes, including the championship. Many parents attended, creating a supportive and positive atmosphere.

SSSIO in Malaysia hosted a two-day National Sathya Sai Convention from August 31- September 1, 2024. Themed “My Life is My Message – Living His Message,” the event was a resounding success, bringing together inspiring speakers and interactive sessions that helped to further attendees' spiritual journeys. With a turnout of approximately 460 participants, the event fostered a strong sense of unity, spiritual growth, and personal transformation.

Philippines

Between late October and mid-November 2024, the Philippines endured six consecutive tropical cyclones. It claimed 151 lives, impacted 8.8 million Filipinos, and severely damaged the Bicol region's agriculture and livelihoods. Over 37,795 farmers and fishermen lost their livelihoods. In response, the SSSIO of the Philippines partnered with the Missionaries of Charity to deliver aid. Within a week, volunteers prepared 500 grocery bags filled with food items. Despite logistical challenges, relief supplies were transported from Manila to Naga, a journey of 11 hours. On November 15th, they distributed relief bags across eight barangays, using jeepneys, tricycles, and boats to navigate flooded areas and deliver aid directly to affected households. Such acts of kindness serve as beacons of hope, inspiring others to actively support such humanitarian causes and contribute to the healing process.

Singapore

On April 28, 2024, SSSIO volunteers in Singapore, along with the Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple and SunLove Home for the Aged, organized a dinner and entertainment program for 210 elderly residents. The senior residents from various homes and lower-income households were treated to a sumptuous eight-course vegetarian meal. In addition, there was live entertainment by SSE students, teachers, and volunteers to celebrate and honor the multi-racial and multi-religious society of elders in Singapore. The event was featured on the Facebook page of the Singapore Government’s Hindu Endowments Board.

SSSIO volunteers partnered with SunLove Home to deliver three months of groceries to families in need. The program was well-supported by Sai donors until the end of 2024 and has continued into the new year.

Sri Lanka

On March 2, 2024, the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Colombo and the Western & Southern Regions of the SSSIO Sri Lanka held a medical camp at Gunawardanarama Temple, Moratuwa, serving around 150 patients. A team of five doctors, five paramedics, 20 young adults, and five volunteers provided health checks, blood pressure and blood sugar tests, and gave free medicines. Patients needing specialized care were referred to medical institutions for further treatment and follow-up.

On March 16, 2024, the Sri Sathya Sai Center in Thanniruttu, Mullaitivu, inaugurated the Sai Nithyalakshmi Hall, dedicated to the SSEHV program. The hall accommodates 200 people and supports 350 students, many enrolling from farming and single-parent households. Also, it serves as a Sai center, hosting bhajans, workshops, Veda classes, and satsangs.

On March 17, 2024, the Eastern region of Sri Lanka hosted a Regional SSE Children's Day at Karaithivu Shanmuga Maha Vidyalayam, with 350 participants. SSSIO volunteers conducted coastal clean-ups at Pannai Beach, Jaffna, where 45 volunteers collected about 90 bags of waste. Also, at Akkarai Village, 30 Sai volunteers removed three tractor-loads of garbage.

On September 17, 2024, the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Colombo hosted a joyful Happiness Fair organized by the women’s wing. The event featured various homemade foods, refreshing juices, and carefully curated plants, offering something for everyone. It drew a large crowd who enjoyed shopping, socializing, and supporting the initiative. The fair served as a platform for promoting the spirit of love and service.

Thailand

On September 15, 2024, 28 SSSIO volunteers, including 15 children from the Sathya Sai School, traveled from Bangkok to Nakhon Nayok to plant 500 trees. They walked through muddy areas, chanting the Gayatri Mantra while planting saplings. The experience was blissful, and they returned to Bangkok in the afternoon.

Commemorating Avatar Declaration Day, the SSSIO of Thailand organized a special event in Bangkok on October 19, 2024, with the Counsellor of the Indian Embassy as the Chief Guest. Attended by heads of various organizations, parents of Sathya Sai School students, SSE parents, and friends, the program began with the national anthems of Thailand and India. It included Vedam chanting, dances, songs, and a drama titled "If There Was a Little More Love."

A ceremony to honor monks was held at the Prestige Tower Center to mark November, the month of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Birthday. Nine Monks were invited to chant prayers. The event was attended by 32 SSSIO members and 27 others. The monks were also honored with offerings.
