Chinese New Year
On February 24, 2024, a web broadcast celebrating the Lunar New Year 2024, Chap Goh Mei (Lantern Festival) – The Year of the Dragon, was held. The inspiring program, titled ‘Harmony in the Family Brings Happiness, Love, and Prosperity,’ was presented by eight countries served by the SSSIO. The event emphasized the importance of harmony at home to achieve peace in the world, as taught by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Buddha Poornima
Buddha Poornima was celebrated on May 23, 2024, with an online program titled, If you truly loved yourself, you could never hurt another. The multi-cultural presentation showcased Buddhist prayers, greetings from Buddhist monks, inspiring talks, and songs performed by Young Adults.
Guru Poornima
SSSIO members worldwide celebrated Guru Poornima by offering their love, devotion, and gratitude to Lord Sai on July 20, 2024, through an online program titled, ‘Who is the Guru?’ The program featured inspiring experiences of devotees from around the world and uplifting devotional songs.
Worldwide Akhanda Bhajan
The SSSIO welcomed everyone to participate in 24 hours of continuous devotional singing from around the world in various languages and traditions. The online program, broadcast on November 9–10, 2024, expressed devotees’ love for Swami, with melodious songs accompanied by a variety of musical instruments, filling the atmosphere with divine vibrations.
99th Birthday Celebrations
On November 22, 2024, the SSSIO celebrated the 99th Birthday of Swami with a program titled “Know Thyself.” The inspiring program focused on various aspects of why the eternal quest is important and how we should embark on it. Interspersed with music and songs, the presentation culminated with Swami's divine words on how to win His Grace and derive Ananda.
Christmas
Christmas was celebrated joyously on December 24, 2024 on the theme “Spirit of Surrender.” The 90-minute program focused on the importance of surrender as the highest form of devotion through inspiring talks, melodious music, captivating drama, and videos.
Akhanda Gayatri Chanting
SSSIO broadcasts 24 hours of Worldwide Akhanda Gayatri chanting with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba every other month. Initiated during the global pandemic as a prayer to relieve suffering worldwide, this program has attracted thousands of people each year. Gayatri is a universal prayer that is addressed to the immanent and transcendent divine. It is sacred and is chanted to illumine the intellect. The broadcast consists of Swami's darshan and His teachings, with Swami's voice chanting the Gayatri Mantra.
