Reaching the hospital

The hospital is about 10 kms from the Bangalore airport and 24 kms from the Bangalore railway & bus station. You can use these city buses:

335: K.R.MARKET to SSSIHMS (via airport). First bus: 7:30am, last bus: 9:20pm
319F: MAJESTIC to SSSIHMS. First bus: 6:20am, last bus: 4:30pm
320C: SHIVAJINAGAR to SSSIHMS. First bus: 8:30am, last bus: 5:20pm

In addition, many private buses moving on the City-Market-Ulsoor-Hope Farm route can also be used. The Hi Tech Park adjacent to the hospital is a good landmark.

National Board Recognition

The Institute is recognised by the National Board of Examinations of India to conduct post-graduate education and training for qualified doctors. This process is currently underway. The hospital aims to achieve high academic and teaching standards in the field of medical sciences.

Two super specialty hospitals

This is the second such major project to be undertaken by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. The first one, the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Puttaparthy, was inaugurated in 1991. It provides the latest available standards of medical and surgical care in cardiology, urology/nephrology, and ophthalmology.
