Devotion is one of the three wings of the Sai Organization (the other two being selfless service (seva) and education in human values). This page will discuss various aspect of the devotion program, which includes devotional singing (bhajans), study circles, prayers, and meditation.
| Sai Ram |
When you meet each other, do not shout
hello or bye-bye, or some silly chatter. Let the moment of meeting
be sanctified by the remembrance of God; say, Ram Ram, or Om, or
Hari Om, or Sai Ram. |

| Devotional singing (bhajans) |
Devotion
is the state of mind in which one has no separate existence apart
from God. Sathya Sai Speaks VI, Chap. 6, 119 (old ed.) Bhajans charge the atmosphere with divine
adoration; that is why I insist on group singing. |

| Prayers mantras |
|
Do
not pray for secular advantages, only for grace. Sathya Sai Speaks VI, Chap. 10, 60 (old ed.) |
| Meditation | Includes discussion of teaching meditation, schedule for meditation, posture, light (jyothi) meditation, meditation vs. concentration and contemplation, repetition of the name, silent repetition of the name, chanting the 108 names, and Sai Baba's words on Soham. |
Meditation is not mere sitting erect and silent, or the absence of
movement; it is the merging of all thoughts and feelings in God.
Sathya Sai Speaks X, Chap. 48, 314 (old ed.) |
| Study circles | The
study circle will remain a half circle until you put what you read
into practice. Sathya Sai Speaks IX, Chap. 9, 59 (old ed.) |
|
| Nine-point code of conduct | The
hallmark of devotion is to see God as the resident in all and responsible
for all. Sathya Sai Speaks V, Chap. 9, 45 (old ed.) |
|
| Ten principles | Develop
devotion and your are free, for God takes on the burden for you. Sathya Sai Speaks V, Chap. 40, 205 (old ed.) |
