SSSCT Rejected the SSSIO’s Proposal for Unity - SSSIO is not part of the Global Council
The following three videos discuss the concerns regarding the Global Council and how it violates Bhagawan's directives and instructions to SSSIO.
The first video is an interview that was given by a long-time devotee, Mr. Robert Baskin about Divine Guidance to Sai Organizations. Bhagawan performed his marriage to Diana Baskin, the author of the popular books: Divine Memories and Divine Lessons.
Mr. Robert Baskin recalls many divine memories, instructions, and guidance from Bhagawan. He shines the light of truth on the Global Council and shares many unique insights into the formation of the SSSIO and the autonomous function of the SSSIO as directed by Swami personally. Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Om Sri Sai Ram.
The present structure and functions of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO) were established and guided by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Himself. We are committed to maintaining its sanctity by following His Divine Command and Instructions.
Recently the SSSIO initiated a round of conciliatory attempts with Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust (SSSCT) to work in unity and move forward together in the Divine Mission. Based on assurances given by the SSSCT in a joint meeting on May 30, 2021, that the structure and functions of the SSSIO will remain unchanged, the SSSIO agreed to sign a joint statement in which it was decided that a revised Terms of Reference (TOR) will be developed—to be reviewed and accepted by all the three organizations, namely SSSIO, SSSCT and SSSSO.
The SSSIO presented a revised TOR of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council (SSSGC) to the SSSCT. This TOR incorporates the above assurances given by the SSSCT, the commitment of SSSIO to follow the Divine Command of Swami and includes the assessments and recommendations of the senior leaders and devotees who have dedicated their lives to the Divine mission over many decades.
The Managing Trustee of the SSSCT has rejected the revised TOR submitted by the SSSIO. SSSCT has not honored its own assurances and unilaterally replaced it with a revised TOR which disrupts the existing structure and functions of the SSSIO. The SSSCT claims that the self-governing structure and functions of the SSSIO will remain intact, but its TOR undermines and dismantles the SSSIO structure and functions given by Bhagawan. The proposal made by the SSSCT goes against the Divine Command of Swami and is contrary to the agreement made in the joint statement.
Therefore, the SSSIO has resolved to continue operations as it has done for over five decades under the direct guidance and instructions of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
This structure and functions of SSSIO were founded and guided by Bhagawan to bring about understanding, unity and love among diverse cultures, languages, and religions in the countries of the SSSIO. This necessity of understanding the diversity was emphasized by Bhagawan when He dissolved the World Council in 1987.
We want to assure the devotees that our connection to Swami and Prasanthi Nilayam is unchanged and will remain forever. This was the assurance given by Bhagawan to all devotees. We consider Prasanthi Nilayam as the sacred home of our divine father and mother, and a holy pilgrimage site.
All the programs and initiatives of the SSSIO will continue unchanged to serve the devotees with love and humility.
The SSSIO will continue to cooperate and collaborate with the SSSCT and SSSSO of India in the Divine works.
