International Young Adults Veda Programme
The SSSIO International Young Adults Committee is pleased to announce that registration for the 2022 International YA Veda Programme is now open! If you are interested in learning, chanting, and propagating the Vedas, we would love to have you on board! The programme will commence on 24 April 2022 on the auspicious occasion of Sri Sathya Sai Aradhana Mahotsavam. The training course caters for beginner, intermediate and advanced learners and is a golden opportunity to spread the glory and potency of the Vedas around the world for the benefit of mankind. Each participant will be allocated a teacher and will be part of a group of equally enthusiastic people from your zone/country who, like you, want to embark on this Vedic journey. This online Veda Training Programme is open to all! Registration closes on 6 April 2022.
“The Veda is the Mother of all the Shastras. The Veda emanated from God Himself as inhalation and exhalation. The great sages, who were the embodiments of the treasure gained by long ascetic practises, received Veda as a series of sounds and spread it over the world by word of mouth from preceptor to pupil.”
Sathya Sai Vahini, Chapter XXII, The Eternal Truths
The International Young Adults Veda Programme launched its first Veda training on the auspicious occasion of Sri Sathya Sai Aradhana Mahotsavam on 24 April 2020, followed by the inaugural webinar on 20 June 2020. 1,400 Young Adults (YAs) from around the world enrolled in the yearlong structured training programme. The programme provides a golden opportunity to empower YAs to take up Veda chanting and to propagate the teachings of Vedas.
The subcommittee aims to create a platform to facilitate the teaching and learning of Vedas. Learners of all levels will have the opportunity to join regular online sessions and practise with experienced teachers to help them chant various Vedic mantras with the correct pronunciation and intonation with adherence to Sandhi rules.
Learners will be able to implement their learnings by participating in all Sri Sathya Sai International Organization and Sai Young Adults online and in-person events at regional, national, zonal, and international levels. The subcommittee will also host regular Veda webinars with eminent speakers who will be able to provide a deeper understanding of the Vedas and its universal teachings.
People from across the world will be able to learn, chant, and propagate these powerful cosmic vibrations allowing them to utilise this ancient knowledge to transform spiritually and ultimately realise the divinity inherent within.
Please email us at yaveda@sathyasai.org if you have any questions or would like to be a part of the subcommittee. Stay tuned for more information on the 2022 International Young Adults Veda Programme.
